PAPS & PARS Information

PAPS (Pre-Arrival Processing System)

The Pre-Arrival Processing System (PAPS) is utilized by the United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to expedite the processing of commercial shipments entering the U.S. by truck. By submitting shipment information to CBP before arrival, PAPS allows for faster processing and release of shipments at the border.

• Purpose: Expedites the processing of shipments into the U.S.
• Process: Each shipment is assigned a PAPS number, linked to the shipment's details. The driver presents the PAPS barcode at the border for quick processing.

PARS (Pre-Arrival Review System)

The Pre-Arrival Review System (PARS) is employed by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) to expedite the processing of commercial shipments entering Canada. By submitting shipment information to CBSA before arrival, PARS allows for quicker review and processing at the border.

• Purpose: Expedites the processing of shipments into Canada.
• Process: Each shipment is assigned a PARS number, linked to the shipment's details. The driver presents the PARS barcode at the border for quick processing.
